A Proud American tradition in the face of adversity: laughter

Americans have always found humor in the darkest of moments. It reflects an inner strength, an underlying confidence in the future, and part of a national character that insists humor allows us to combat tragedy. Most times the humor allows us to combat tragedy. 


Most times the humor is directed at our adversaries, using parody, ridicule, and pratfalls to sweep away the fear, making our enemies vulnerable and more easily defeated.
